  • Birth Doula Application

    Role Overview

    As Birth Doula with Nest and Kin Co., you’ll provide continuous emotional, physical, and informational support to birthing people and their partners during pregnancy, labor, birth, and the immediate postpartum period. This role requires strong advocacy skills, emotional intelligence, reliability, and the ability to support families across a variety of birth settings.

    Responsibilities

    Provide 1–3 prenatal visits (virtual and/or in-person)

    Educate clients on labor stages, comfort measures, medical interventions, and informed decision-making

    Assist clients with creating and understanding birth and postpartum plans

    Build rapport with clients and establish trust and emotional safety

    Provide continuous, on-call labor support beginning at agreed-upon gestation

    Offer physical comfort measures (positioning, breathing techniques, counterpressure, etc.)

    Provide emotional reassurance and grounding support

    Support partners in participating confidently in the birth process

    Facilitate communication between clients and medical providers without speaking on behalf of the client

    Maintain professionalism in hospital, birth center, and home birth settings

    Provide immediate postpartum support following birth

    Offer emotional processing and basic newborn and recovery guidance within scope of practice

    Required Qualifications

    Certified birth doula (e.g., DONA, CAPPA, BAI, CBI, or equivalent)

    At least 2 years of birth doula experience or a minimum number of attended births (to be discussed)

    Current CPR certification (adult & infant)

    Liability insurance

    Reliable transportation and ability to attend births in assigned service areas

    Strong understanding of reproductive justice and respectful maternity care

    Preferred but Not Required

    Experience supporting Black, Brown, high-risk/high-need, or marginalized birthing people

    Lactation education or postpartum training

    Experience working within hospital systems

  • Postpartum Doula Application

    Role Overview

    As a Postpartum Doula with Nest and Kin Co., you will provide hands-on postpartum support, newborn care guidance, and emotional and physical support for recovering parents. You’ll represent the Nest and Kin Co. standard of warmth, professionalism, and excellence.

    Responsibilities

    Provide evidence-based postpartum and newborn care support

    Assist with newborn care: diapering, bathing, feeding support, soothing

    Support parental recovery, emotional well-being, and rest

    Light household support (baby laundry, bottle washing, tidying baby-related areas)

    Educate families in newborn care basics, safe sleep, feeding cues, bonding, and routines

    Document visit notes and communicate professionally with the Nest and Kin team

    Maintain clear boundaries and uphold client confidentiality

    Required Qualifications

    Certified Postpartum Doula (from a recognized organization)

    CPR, BLS, and Pediatric First Aid Certified

    Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

    At least 1 year of postpartum or newborn care experience

    Preferred but Not Required

    Sleep training experience or certification

    Experience supporting high-need babies (colic, reflux, sensory sensitivities, etc.)

    Experience supporting high-need moms (PMAD awareness, high-risk birth recovery)

    Lactation training (CLC, CBS, etc.)

  • Daytime Nanny Application

    Role Overview

    As a Day Nanny with Nest and Kin Co., you’ll support families with daytime newborn and infant care, light household tasks, routines, and developmental engagement, all with the nurturing, reliability, and professionalism that Nest and Kin Co. is known for.

    Responsibilities

    Provide daytime newborn/infant care

    Support feeding routines (breast/bottle), burping, and monitoring cues

    Assist with establishing daytime schedules and healthy sleep foundations

    Light housekeeping focused on baby needs (bottle washing, baby laundry, tidying)

    Engage babies in age-appropriate sensory and developmental activities

    Maintain professional, timely communication with the Nest and Kin team

    Required Qualifications

    CPR, BLS, and Pediatric First Aid Certified

    1+ year of nanny, newborn care, or infant support experience

    Reliable transportation and strong punctuality

    Preferred but Not Required

    Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) certification

    Early childhood education coursework

    Sleep training familiarity or experience

    Experience with multiples, preemies, or high-need babies

  • Night Nanny Application

    Role Overview

    Our Night Nannies support families overnight by caring for newborns so parents can rest and recover. This role requires calm confidence, newborn expertise, and professionalism during quiet overnight hours.

    Responsibilities

    Overnight newborn care, feeding, burping, diaper changes, and soothing

    Tracking sleep, feeds, and diaper output

    Supporting healthy sleep foundations (not formal sleep training)

    Preparing bottles and sanitizing baby equipment

    Providing parents with a morning summary/update

    Maintaining a peaceful, safe overnight environment

    Required Qualifications

    CPR, BLS, and Pediatric First Aid Certified

    Previous newborn or overnight care experience

    Reliable transportation and ability to stay awake/alert during overnight shifts

    Preferred but Not Required

    RN, NICU RN, LPN, or CNA background

    Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) training

    Sleep training experience or certification

    Experience with multiples, preemies, or medically complex newborns
